Weak-Key Training
Practice built from the keys you actually miss. Take an English typing test or practice run and this page turns your own accuracy data into focused drills — no random word lists.
No typing history yet.
This page does not use a generic word list — it builds every drill from the keys you personally miss. That means it needs to watch you type first. A key only counts as weak once you have attempted it at least five times and are below 80% accurate on it, and one English typing test is usually enough to find several.
Complete your first typing test →It takes one minute. Come back here afterwards and the five drill levels will be built from your own results.
Each level unlocks when you finish the one before it.

How this works
Every English typing test and practice run on IndianTyping records which characters you got right and which you missed. A key counts as weak once it has been attempted at least five times and is below 80% accurate — five attempts because one mistake is a slip, not a weakness.
The drills are then built around those specific keys. If you miss e, r and t, level three gives you words like street, letter and interest rather than a random word list.
The five levels
- Single keys — the key on its own, to build the motion.
- Key pairs — both orders, because er and re are different movements and you can be reliable at one and not the other.
- Words — real words chosen for how much of your weak set they cover.
- Sentences — with capitals and punctuation, which word drills never teach.
- Challenge — sixty seconds, to see whether it stuck.
Why the headline number is a key, not a speed
Speed is what the typing test measures. This page exists to move one specific weakness, so the number worth showing is which key improved most since you started — not a WPM figure that a good day can flatter.
Frequently asked questions
Why can I not start a drill?
Because this page has no typing data for you yet. Every drill here is built from the keys you personally miss, so it needs to watch you type first. Take one English typing test and come back — a key counts as weak once you have attempted it at least five times and are below 80% accurate on it. An English practice run counts too.
How do the five levels unlock?
In order. Single keys is open as soon as you have any typing history, and each level after it opens when you finish the one before it: key pairs, then words, then sentences, then the timed challenge. Finishing a drill is enough — there is no score to beat.
Is my typing data sent anywhere?
No. Per-key accuracy and your drill history are stored in your own browser and never leave it. Clearing your browser data clears them.
Does this work for Hindi?
Not yet. Weak-key training currently covers English only, because the Hindi pages record progress in a different format. Hindi typing practice is available at Hindi Typing Practice.
How often should I do this?
A few minutes most days beats a long session once a week. Typing is a motor skill, and motor skills consolidate between sessions rather than during them.
